Liu Xiehe, his home hospital, and his former student Li Tao all earning such honours and awards at the same time, as my brother would say, was a triplet of fortune at the front door Chinese: 三喜临门, pinyin: sān xǐ lín mén. Regrettably, my brother was already gravely ill and hospitalised by the winter of 2015. He was unable to attend the award ceremony, and Professor Li Tao accepted the trophy in his stead.
